About the university
Danubius University began the 10th year of its existence this year. It consists of three faculties - Faculty of Social Studies, Faculty of Law and Faculty of Public Policy and Public Administration. The university has obtained the accreditation for three new study programmes recently: International Relations, Journalism and English Studies. We believe they significantly enrich the education possibilities at our university. Danubus university offers the possibility to study in the information centres in several Slovak towns. Information centres exist in Trenčín and Vrútky and, the centres in Trstice for the students of the Faculty of Social Studies and in Trnava for the students of journalism were opened this year. Our philosophy is to provide students the education on a European level in the regions of Slovakia because we know young people may be challenged by their financial situation and the living costs outside of their family often hinder the access to education. Contemporary technical facilities fully enable young people to remain in their region and to get high-level education through e-learning, distance, combined and external study programmes.
