About the university
International Training Institute for Materials Science (ITIMS) was established in December 1992 by Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam and became directly under Hanoi University of Technology since December 2004. ITIMS has functions of post-graduate education, doing research and technology transfer in the field of materials science (electronic materials). In its development, ITIMS has been maintaining the international level in both training (master and doctor degrees) and doing research. Master students and doctors graduated at ITIMS have been accepted for further study in well-known universities and institutes in the world. The number of articles (5-10/year) published by staff members of ITIMS in scientific journals with impact factor increases annually. In addition, ITIMS also implements various research projects from different funds including national program for materials science and technology development.
