About the university
School of Advanced Social Studies, founded in 2006, (SASS) is an independent research-oriented higher education institution in the field of social sciences, located in Nova Gorica (Slovenia), on the western border of Slovenia with Italy, and close to Austria and Croatia. Activities of School are guided by strategic orientations towards interdisciplinary areas, internationalisation, excellence and applicability in teaching and research. Research activities conducted by the SASS are held at four institutes: Institute for Social Transformations, The National Institute of Psychotherapy, Institute for Political Research and Institute of Global and Regional Development.
