About the university
I have the singular pleasure of welcoming you to the premier and oldest University in Zimbabwe. The University Of Zimbabwe (UZ) had its beginning in 1952, making it the oldest tertiary education institution in Zimbabwe. Knowledge, Diligence and Integrity is the motto for the University of Zimbabwe and, throughout the history of the University; a strong belief in this motto has always been in evidence.
