About the university
The Kurt Bösch University Foundation (IUKB), founded in Sion in the canton of Valais (Switzerland), was founded in 1989. Recognized by the Swiss Confederation as a university institute, the IUKB founded activities from 1992 to 2014 Teaching and research. On 1 January 2015, following an exceptional process initiated by the State Secretariat for Training, Research and Innovation, the Foundation changed its aims, its field of activity and its name . Scientific activities have been transferred, together with related staff, to the field of Tourism at the University of Lausanne and to the field of Children's Rights at the University of Geneva. Since then, the Kurt Bösch University Foundation has provided the two Swiss universities, which have set up branches or campuses on the Sion site, the necessary infrastructure to maintain, organize and develop teaching, research and teaching activities.
