The origins of the College of Asian Scholars, with the thought and determination of Prof.Dr.Krasae Chanawong, who receives the Ramon Magsaysay Award in the field of the community leader, Prime Minister's Office. He got a license to establish the college for enhancing the educational occasion and giving a new choice for senior high school students and vocational certificate students in order to reach further study in the good institution. So he sets plans to establish the private institute to be under the Ministry of University Affairs, follows the act of institution of private education legislation, B.E.2552, some adding corrections B.E. 2535, which the institution of private education committees meet and approve to establish the college of Asian scholars, and presenting the opinion to His Excellency Prajaub Chaiyasarn, the minister of Ministry of University Affairs at that time to sign a license to establish the college follows the notice at 3/ 2009, on the 26th of February, 2009. The college council committee has a university board meeting for the first time on the 15th of March, 2000. By moving the college location of Asian Scholars from Pol district to the new place, that is 179/137 Prachasamosorn road, Mueng district , Khonkaen province, according to the notice of Ministry of University Affairs on the 11th of April, 2001. The beginning of the instruction starts on the academic year of 2002, by offering 4 branches of Business Administration Faculty consisting of; 1. Bachelor of Business Administration (Business Computer); 4 years and continuing course for 2 years. 2. Bachelor of Business Administration (General Management); 4 years and continuing course for 2 years. 3. Bachelor of Accountancy; 4 years and continuing course for 2 years. 4. Bachelor of Business Administration (International Business Management); 4 years and continuing course for 2 years. In the academic year of 2003, the College of Asian Scholars offers 3 more programs consist of; 1. Bachelor of laws Program (Bachelor of laws); the course takes 4 years. 2. Bachelor of Arts Program in English; the course takes 4 years. 3. Bachelor of Business Administration (marketing); the course takes 4 years and continuing course for 2 years. In the academic year of 2006, the College of Asian Scholars offers 1 more program that is Bachelor of Nursing Science. It is in the field of nursing and midwife; the course takes 4 years. In the academic year of 2007, the College of Asian Scholars offers Master of Business Administration Program (M.B.A.). In the academic year of 2008, the College of Asian Scholars improves the Administration program, the accounting program to be the Bachelor of accounting, the courses takes 4 years and continuing course takes 2 years. In the academic year of 2009 the College of Asian Scholars offers one more program for undergraduate students consist of Bachelor of Business Administration program in the field of Retailing Business Management, the course takes 4 years.
