About the university
The decree of November 14, 1975 announces the creation of the Faculty called "Faculty of Economic Technical Sciences of Sfax" replacing the initial denomination "Center of Training of Assistants in Management". The birth of this young institution was part of Tunisia's decentralization policy, which is celebrating its fiftieth anniversary this year (1958 - 2008). It was initially housed, for a transitional period, in the premises of High School Habib Mazoun the heart of the city where it will develop to its gradual transfer to its present site in late 70s and early 80s
