The Higher Institute of Arts and Crafts of Gabes created by decree number 1912 in 2001, dated on August 2001, published in the Official Journal in the Tunisian Republic number 68 dated on 24 August 2001. This public institution is under the supervision of Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. Its mission is to train students for three years under the LMD system and it ends up by getting a national diploma.
