About the university
The Tunisian National School of Engineers or ENIT is a Tunisian engineering school , the oldest in the country after the National Agronomic Institute of Tunisia ( 1898 ). Depending on the University of Tunis - El Manar , it is located within the campus of El Manar in Tunis . Founded officially on December 31, 1968 by Mokhtar Latiri , it trains engineers in the fields of civil , electrical , industrial and mechanical engineering , computer science and telecommunications . Two new specialties are added at the beginning of the academic year 2010 - 2011 : advanced techniques as well as hydraulics and environment. A new specialty attached to the Department of Applied Mathematics is added at the beginning of the academic year 2012 - 2013 : Students generally enter this school through the national entrance examination for engineering schools. In 2008 , it counts more than 1,400 students in engineering training and as much in postgraduate training (master, doctorate, etc.). Its faculty has more than 220 teachers of various specialties.
