About the university
The Higher Institute of Applied Studies in Humanities of Tunis (ISEAHT) is an institution under the University of Tunis. It was established by Decree No. 1189-2000 of 30 May 2000. The ISEAHT provides education which aims to provide theoretical and scientific training in parallel with the development of practical skills. The current teaching paths are two applied licenses and a basic degree in English studies. The Basic License in Language, Letters and English Civilization allows students to gain a theoretical knowledge of the English language as well as to acquire a thorough knowledge of British, American, and English literature and civilization. These studies serve as a springboard for a future career in the world of research and teaching. The Bachelor's degree in Business English offers students the opportunity to gain access to professional life in the corporate world. Studies are characterized, among other things, by the teaching of financial and legal English, commercial translation, and the main communication tools. The Bachelor's Degree in Basic Education gives students the opportunity to enter professional life through education, from primary to lower secondary. The studies include courses on theories and methods of teaching, discourse analysis, as well as the school environment.
