About the university
The name of our university is 17th century. He was from the Ottoman scientist, Kâtip Çelebi. It is a source of pride for our university that our University, which was founded as the 4th State University of İzmir, will keep the name of Kâtip Çelebi with a state university. In order to maintain this privilege as a university, "Kâtip Çelebi and its Works Research Center" was founded in the university with its Official Gazette dated 29.05.2013 and numbered 28661.
