About the university
Aswan University established a branch in 1974 as a branch of the University of Assiut and the study began in October by the academic year 1973-1974 bklah Education. He was awarded the first bachelor degree in 1978. Then enrollment Master's degree began in the Faculty of Science in the academic year in 1977 - 1978. Then register for a doctoral degree began in 1977 - 1978. In 1995, issued Presidential Decree No. 23 of 1995, the establishment of the University of South Valley and the University became a branch of the University of South Valley
