About the university
The hospital is one of three flagship sites designated by the NHS Executive for the implementation of technology for healthcare. RHCH has third and fifth year medical students from Southampton University Medical School and also students on electives from other parts of the United Kingdom and abroad. Students from St George’s are fully integrated with these other medical students. The Postgraduate Medical Centre has excellent facilities including an impressive library with a full range of relevant journals and books.
