About the university
The Polytechnic University of Lara Andrés Eloy Blanco (UPTAEB) is a public institution of higher education of technological character, located in the city of Barquisimeto, Venezuela. It is expected that it will soon be Polytechnic University, 1 within the framework of the Alma Mater Mission, a product of the University Transformation as an initiative of the then President Hugo Chávez Frías, published in Official Gazette 39,148 of March 27, 2009 and created as State policy For the Transformation of University Education in Venezuela.
