Catholic University Cecilio Acosta is a private university of the Catholic Church, founded in 1983 in the city of Maracaibo, Venezuela in honor of the outstanding Venezuelan writer Cecilio Acosta. Among its foundations, the property is awarded to the Archdiocese of Maracaibo and is defined as: Catholic, private, non-profit, democratic, experimental, autonomous, innovative and dynamic. In addition to own legal personality, university campus, technological platform, assets and patrimonies, thus achieving, carry out an educational process at the service of the national community. Within its objectives are: 1) To train its students in the framework of a holistic approach of academic and humanistic excellence. 2) Provide services to the community through extension and cooperation programs. 3) Contribute to the reconstruction of the country through an ethical and solidarity education.
