About the university
The Federal University of Rondônia (UNITE) is the only state university in Rondônia. It was created in 1982 by Act No. 7011 of July 8, after the creation of the state of the complementary law No. 47 of December 22, 1981. Today UNITE has eight campuses located in the municipalities of Ariquemes, Cacoal, Guajara-Mirin, Parana, Porto Vello, President of Medici, Rolim de Moura and Vilena. The administrative headquarters of UNITE is located in Porto Velho, where the Rectori Administration and prores are located, culture, extension and student affairs (Procea), Graduation (PROGRAD), planning (Proplan) and postgraduate study and research (PROPESQ). Organizational principles are the reference points for decision-making and the behavior of the organization in the performance of its mission. Because values are essential and permanent covenants of the organization. As a small set of principles of multi-year orientation, it does not require external justification: they have intrinsic value and importance and are important for those who are part of this organization.
