Xi'An Physical Education University

Xi'an Physical Education University was established in 1954, which was founded under the cooperation of the State General Administration of Sports and the Sports Bureau of Shaanxi Province, is the only academic university for physical education & sports in northwestern China. The university has more than 7000 registered students. The university has played an important role in training P.E. teachers, coaches, athletes and special personnel for sports press, sports academy, sports supervisors and other needy professionals for society. The university attaches great importance to training and competition and gets excellent results in different sports. The teachers or students here have won more than 70 golden medals in international and national sports games of Taekwondo, Chinese Martial Arts, track & field, gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics, bodybuilding exercise, trampoline, bocce, etc. Xi'an Physical EducationUniversity attaches great importance to the international cooperation and academic exchanges. Having been established for 50 years, the university has developed academic exchanges with universities or sports organizations from over 20 countries and regions.The university is authorized by the National Educational Ministry to enroll the international students from 1983. Till now, there have been hundreds of international students come to our university to study the Martial arts, Chinese language and traditional culture.
