Guangxi University of Foreign Languages

Guangxi University of Foreign Languages (GUFL), formerly known as Guangxi Dongfang Foreign Language College, was founded in June 2004. Approved by China’s Ministry of Education. The university was upgraded in April 2011 to offer bachelor's programs. The University has 2 campuses, Wuhe Campus and Konggang Campus, with a combined area of 154.3 hectares. Wuhe Campus covers an area of 68 hectares, including 300,000-square-meter buildings. The University has over 14, 000 full-time students and 282 international students. GUFL comprises 10 schools: School of South-East Asian Languages and Cultures, School of European-American Languages and Cultures, School of Literature, School of International Trade and Economics, School of International Business Administration, School of International Accounting, School of Information Engineering, School of Arts, School of International Education and the School of Continuing Education. We offer 65 major programs including 12 language major programs, such as Burmese, Chinese, Cambodian, English, French, Indonesian, Japanese, Korean, Laos, Spanish, Thai and Vietnamese. Our major programs cover five disciplines such as literature, art, management, economics, and engineering. We have exchange relations with over 67 universities in Taiwan, Hong Kong and further afield. Over1000 international students finished their training or study in GUFL and more than 3000 students finished their credit courses in universities oversea or had their internship experience oversea. In the past 13 years, GUFL has received over 300 honors and awards at national and provincial levels, including the National Advanced Private Education Institution, the National Excellent Private Higher Institution and the Guangxi Excellent Higher Education Institution for Student Employment.
