About the university
Hainan Open University was founded in September 1983, when the city of Guangdong Province, municipal TV University campus. In March 1987, with the establishment of Hainan Province to build a large SAR, the school was approved independent establishment, in March 1989 the school upgraded to provincial electricity, is the only one in Hainan Province to carry out modern distance education of the people's government belongs to the higher school.
