Shandong Institute of Commerce and Technology (Shandong Institute of Commerce and Technology), is approved by the Ministry of Education to set up the provincial vocational colleges, the school is a national model higher vocational colleges , the national vocational education advanced units , the typical experience of graduates of the national employment (Colleges and universities) 50 colleges and universities, Shandong Province, the advanced unit of education, Shandong Province, moral education demonstration colleges, Shandong Province, the first batch of college students entrepreneurship education demonstration school. The school originated in 1936 in Jinan private Huilu industrial and commercial vocational schools and 1945 Qingdao private business schools, after the Shandong Province supply and marketing cooperation cadres schools, the Department of Commerce Veterinary College, Shandong University of Finance and Economics, Shandong Province Business School (Shandong Provincial commercial workers college) and other school period, in March 1999, approved by the Ministry of Education, by the Shandong Province Commercial University and Shandong Province business school formed.
