Tzu Chi College of Technology

The college was established by Tzu Chi Buddhist Compassion Relief Foundation under the guidance of Dharma Master Cheng Yen in 1989. The foundation promotes four major missions: Charity, Medical Care, Education, and Humanity. Technical and vocational education designed to foster professional excellence at all levels of technical manpower, which is characterized by practical teaching and research. To highlight this feature, combined with industry, government, academia, research resources,and actively promote all types of industrial-academic cooperation program, has been the major direction of our school development efforts to the goal. Through developing relevant industrial technologies, medical and nursing education collaboration, clinical research studies, government-funded projects and communicating and cooperating with industries, we hope to create a reciprocal beneficiary relationship and a win-win situation with industries. In addition, in 2008 academic year, the " promoting teachers research resources and industrialuniversity cooperation five years plan" was initiated, we look forward to strengthening the research ability of our teachers and students, manifesting the characteristics of the technical and vocational school and to enhance the competitive ability of our school in every area.
