About the university
Polytechnic San Valero was authorized by the State Secretary of Education in 1998, as an official center to teach technical careers at the baccalaureate level. Levels and capacity of the center: Average level and polytechnic, with 660 places available each school year. The ITES is one of the most recent educational projects of the Foundation, approved by the MINISTRY OF HIGHER EDUCATION SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY and accredited by the Executive Power by decree. It was born with the purpose of optimizing the spaces and technologies available in the center, allowing a greater academic preparation to the population of the northern zone of Santo Domingo. We have seen with this project the possibility of a new modality of technical education that responds to the demand of the productive sector on the training of middle technicians with a high school entrance and a training of two years, that according to the norms of MESCYT, Is called Superior Technician or Technologist.
