About the university
L’École de design Nantes Atlantique est un établissement d’enseignement technique privé spécialisé dans l'enseignement du design. Elle a été créée en 1988, et est gérée par la Chambre de Commerce et d’Industrie de Nantes Saint Nazaire depuis 1991. L’école est reconnue par l’État et délivre un diplôme de design visé par le ministre chargé de l'enseignement supérieur. Le diplôme de design est enregistré au Registre National des Certifications Professionnelles (RNCP) au niveau I (bac+5 et au-delà). L’École de design est associée à l'Université de Nantes et membre de la Conférence des grandes écoles3. Elle est implantée sur le site du Campus de la Chantrerie dans le quartier Nantes Erdre à Nantes, aux côtés d’entreprises et d’écoles d’ingénieurs, ainsi qu'à Shanghai (Chine), Delhi (Inde) et São Paulo (Brésil). L'établissement est dirigé depuis 1998 par Christian Guellerin, directeur.
