About the university
The school was created in 2002 by the merger of three components of the University of Tours: The Center for Graduate Studies in Development, established in 1969, trained specialists in planning, urban planning, territorial development and environmental management. He graduated first, second and third degree degrees (DEUG, DEUST, license, MST, IUP, Magistère, DESS, DEA and Doctorate); The School of Computer Science for Industry was founded in 1991on the basis of the MST of Computer Science applied to industrial production, created in 1982 within the UFR Sciences and Techniques; The École d'ingénieurs de Tours, created in 1985 under the impulse of the municipality of Tours as part of an association law 1901. From private status, it was bound by convention, until August 1999, University of Tours, then integrates it definitively on this date, under public status.
