About the university
Attached in 1849 to the Public Assistance of the Hospitals of Paris, the amphitheater of anatomy has existed since December 21, 1832. It was built at 17 rue du Fer à Moulin, the site of the former cemetery of Clamart Of the General Council of the Hospices. It seems that the attendance was very important, since in 1939, J. de Gaule, in his "History of Paris", wrote that nearly 600 pupils were engaged in anatomical work. There were anatomical pieces of great talent, exhibited in a museum.
