The Academy of Fine Arts Saar in Saarbrücken ( HBKsaar ) is the only Kunsthochschule in Saarland . It was founded in 1989 and originated from the State School of Arts and Crafts, founded in 1924, and the School of Arts and Crafts from 1946 onwards . 1971-1989 she was with today's University of Applied Sciences of the Saarland to the college of Saarland together. The educational concept is project-oriented and interdisciplinary. The lesson is largely as a studio and project work with integrated subject and theory offers. The flexibility of the educational structure therefore provides for a high degree of transparency between individual courses and independent work.
