About the university
The Norddeutsche Hochschule für Rechtspflege (HR Nord) is a state college of Lower Saxony, headquartered in Hildesheim . It is a lawyer for the states of Lower Saxony, Schleswig-Holstein, Hamburg and Bremen, officials of the higher judicial service , who carry out the tasks assigned by the Rechtspflegergesetz (RPgG). The predecessor was the Niedersächsische Fachhochschule für Verwaltung und Rechtspflege (FHVR), also based in Hildesheim, which existed from August 1979 to 30 September 2007. The Faculty of Legal Protection was converted into the Norddeutsche Fachhochschule für Rechtspflege as of September 30, 2007, which has been designated as a North German University of Legal Administration since its amendment to the Lower Saxony Higher Education Act in June 2010 (§ 2, Para. 1 No. 2e) A Fachhochschule remains.
