The BA Advertising and Design has core practice-based modules that include developing advertising campaigns, computer skills, creative portfolios, branding and identity. This is a hands-on course and you will be encouraged to work in pairs, as this is how the industry recruits. Forging relationships during the course is great preparation for the workplace and helps to maximise creativity. The course is industry-recognised and industry-focused. Our academic team encourage you to express ideas and push the boundaries of creative advertising. From day one, you will be working on a wide variety of briefs designed to reflect the rapidly changing face of the industry. In a nutshell you are taught to use creative and lateral thinking to combine different thought processes to produce a concept as a ‘solution’ to a specific visual communications problem. These unique combinations of image, words, media, sounds etc form the basis of an advertising idea.
