About the university
The Hungarian Krishna Consciousness Community of Believers (MKTHK) in 1998 founded the Bhaktivedanta Institute of Science and Culture Foundation in Budapest. The foundation of the Hindu Vaishnava philosophy is identified as one of the oldest educational institutions in the philosophy and culture of mankind dissemination, and training and further training of professionals in the Vaishnava philosophy at goal. The MKTHK in 2001 established the Bhaktivedanta College of Theology, a Vaishnava theologian shift in 2003, won accreditation. The College from September 2004 Vaishnava branch of Hinduism teaches philosophy and culture as an institution of higher education recognized by the state. The Bhaktivedanta College of Theology of the first world religion of Hinduism alone representing higher theological institution in Hungary and Europe, which released the first state-recognized diplomas in June of 2005.
