About the university
Indian Institute of Management, Shillong, was setup by the Government of India in the state of Meghalaya in the year 2008. The meticulously framed curriculum and the Case based pedagogy are aimed at preparing the participants in all aspects of management before they enter the corporate arena. The curriculum is a rich blend of compulsory and elective courses supplemented by some specialized courses. The campus boasts of high-tech infrastructure ranging from Smart boards to Video Conferencing facilities and is a Wi-Fi enabled campus. The participants are provided with the best academic, residential and recreational facilities. The institute aims at setting new trends in education and helping its participants to grow in all facets of life. The institute was the first ever in the country to start the Annual Golf Cup, an event which is unique in its own way. The event acts as a unique pedestal where the students interact with peers from other leading B schools and the eminent personalities of the Corporate World.
