Tellakula Jalayya Polisetty Somasundaram College, Guntur, managed by Vasavi Vidyanidhi Committee was established in August 1971 under the dynamic leadership of Late Sri Tellakula Jalayya, a legendary personality, who occupied a number of public positions such as Member of Legislative Assembly, Chairman of Guntur Municipal Corporation and with the deep commitment of the illustrious sons of Late Sri Polisetty Somasundaram, in the name of their noble father. The College offers a wide range of courses from Intermediate to Post Graduation. The College has around 2,500 students, 125 teachers and 75 administrative and supporting staff on its rolls. The College is one of the prestigious institutions of higher learning, affiliated to Acharya Nagarjuna University.Best P.G.College for the years 2013 &2014, Best Library 2014 and Best Laboratory 2014 in the region of ANU.
