About the university
New Theological College or NTC, founded by Rev. George Kuruvila Chavanikamannil in 1987. NTC is an interdenominational, evangelical college with leanings towards charismatic spirituality. We admit students from all denominations and also those who do not belong to any denomination. Our faculty and staff are also from the varied strands of the Christian tradition. We represent the whole body of Christ and minister to it by admitting and training students from both the traditional mainline and the emerging Charismatic and Pentecostal churches. We belong to the Ecumenical, Evangelical, Charismatic Pentecostal and neo-Pentecostal spectrum of Indian Christianity. For academic credibility, quality and validation we are affiliated to the Senate of Serampore College (University) and also accredited by the Asia Theological Association. We provide quality training to God's people who want to serve Him primarily in north India, Nepal and Bhutan. We are working hard to combine both the spiritual and the academic in our training programmes. Our campus is located in Dehradun, the rapidly expanding capital city of the hill state Uttarakhand.
