About the university
The Sree Narayana Guru College of Legal Studies is affiliated to the University of Kerala and is recognized by the Bar Council of India. This college views legal education as an instrument to bring social change. Guided and inspired by the teachings of the great social reformer, Sree Narayana Guru, the college aims to provide quality and affordable legal education to all sections of the society. At present the course offered by the college is five year integrated B.A. LL.B. course and it intends to offer three year LL.B. course as well as post-graduate courses in Law. Is managed by Sree Narayana Trusts, Kollam. The Trusts was founded in 1952 by the former Chief Minister of Kerala Sri. R.Sankar in the name of the saint and the great social reformer of Kerala Sree Narayana Guru. The Trusts aims at realizing the high ideals of Guru who professed the welfare of all without any discrimination on the basis of caste, creed or religion. The institutions under the Trusts follow the ideals of the Guru: to imbibe strength through organization and secure liberation through education. This Trusts has been one of the highly esteemed educational agencies in Kerala and it runs more than fifty educational institutions in Kerala for the upliftment of the socially and educationally backward strata of the society.
