About the university
Lampung State Polytechnic or POLINELA, originally known as Agricultural State Polytechnic of Lampung and officially hold high education independently and become one of the State Universities (PTN) in Lampung Province since April 7, 2001, based on SK. Minister of National Education. In addition to organizing high education activities, the existence of Polytechnics in the era of regional autonomy is expected to play a role as a motivator, dynamic and accelerator of regional development. In this connection Polytechnic continues to develop academic activities and facilities by extending the field of study to print professionals in a number of special knowledge areas. Since August 2, 2004 Lampung State Agricultural Polytechnic officially changed its name to Lampung State Polytechnic, this is because of the future Polytechnic development plan where the field of study held is no longer only in agriculture.
