About the university
Politeknik Negerl Lhokseumawe (PNL), is one of the Higher Education located in Lhokseumawe , North Aceh . Lhokseumawe State Polytechnic was founded in 1985, initially named Polytechnic Unsyiah which is part of Syiah Kuala University. At the beginning of the establishment of Polytechnic Unsyiah, funded by World Bank XIII, opened three programs of Diploma 3 namely, majoring in Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. The process of organizing education began on 5 October 1987. A year later in 1988 opened the Department of Electrical Engineering for Electrical Engineering courses. Furthermore, for Telecommunication Engineering study program and Electronic Engineering study program which is part of the Department of Electrical Engineering opened in 1989 (Telecommunication Engineering) and in 1992 (Electronic Engineering). The courses and courses mentioned above are engineering studies. For Accounting, Accounting, Finance and Banking and Business Administration opened in 1998. Based on the Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture number 100/0/1997, dated May 9, 1997 Polytechnic formerly a part of Syiah Kuala University declared independence as State University of Lhokseumawe State Polytechnic.
