About the university
In the Meiji 40 year, Professor Yui Mitsuda is 23 years old, and begins with opening the Kagoshima Women's Handicraft Training Institute. Mr. Yui, despite the era of "education is necessary for female and farmer's surname", to have students make their own households until they sold their house residences to their understanding parents, going to the Tokyo Tsuzume girls school in Tokyo (now Tokyo University of Health) It was rare. After being returned to the hometown, I was aimed at nurturing "a woman who actually helps" by learning from educational fever. As a pioneer of the district, it remains in the history of Kagoshima prefecture, and works of Professor Yui are displayed at the dawn building all the time.
