About the university
In 1904 (Meiji 37), a private Ueno girls school was founded by the school girl Kohoru Ishibashi. After that, in 1910 (Meiji 41) it was renamed the private Ueno senior high school girls' school, and in 1946 (Showa 21 years) after the war it was further renamed and registered in Foundation Ueno Gakuen. In 1950 (Showa 25) private school law, we changed organization name to school corporation Ueno Gakuen and we are currently conducting education, research and social contribution activities as a school corporation with four schools and one research institute. Ueno Gakuen University Music Faculty and Ueno Gakuen University Junior College Department Music Department are now established as higher education institutions that can specialize in classical music, Ueno Gakuen High School (ordinary department / music department) as secondary education, And Ueno Gakuen Junior High School ordinary course / music course have been established, and it is a school with a small number of students and students enrolled in the school throughout the school.
