About the university
International Hoche Ahmet Yesevi The Turkish-Kazakh University is an international and autonomous mutual state university of the Republics of Turkey and Kazakhstan. The foundation of the university was first laid under the name of the Turkestan State University shortly before the dissolution of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics by the decision of Nursultan Nazarbayev, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan on June 6, 1991. The main mission of the university was defined as "the improvement of the city of Turkestan, the historical center of science and culture of Central Asia. After the "General Declaration", which was published at the Almaty Summit, organized March 29-May 1, 1992, between Nursultan Nazarbayev, the President of Kazakhstan, and Suleiman Demirel, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Turkey, and the "Agreement on Cooperation in the Field of Education, Science, culture and sport ", which was signed between the two countries since May 1, 1992, it was decided that the Turkestan State University should be a mutual university of both countries, and a Memorandum of Understanding on the issue was signed San on September 28, 1992, in Ankara.
