Location
Electric Energy programme teaches students how electricity and heat are produced, transferred and used for practical purposes, electrifying homes and commercial buildings using both traditional and alternative sources of energy. Future engineers study physics, mechanics, computer-aided design, power stations and substations, distribution and transmission grids, high and low voltage equipment and its diagnostics, design of electrical networks, etc. The knowledge gained is consolidated and improved during practical training and internships, which last 20 weeks altogether and are conducted in five stages: • Introductory training, performed at KTK; • Electric Works training, performed at KTK; • Professional internship, performed at partner enterprises; • Technological internship, performed at partner enterprises; • Final internship, performed at partner enterprises. Students of this programme can specialise in: Electricity Networks and Systems, Internal Networks of Companies, and Transport Electrical Systems. AFTER GRADUATION YOU WILL BE ABLE TO: organize and carry out installation, adjustment, testing and measuring of power stations, substations, power lines; install consumer electrical equipment, security and automation devices, control measuring systems; repair and maintain electrical equipment and other facilities.
