About the university
Politeknik Kuching Sarawak (MCC) is the 5th polytechnic established under the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia. MCC offers 13 programs at the diploma level. Politeknik Kuching Sarawak (MCC) was established in 1988. Its establishment is in line with the objective to meet the needs of trained manpower to meet the country's aspirations towards industrialization and consequently to improve competitiveness in the world market. At its inception, SMEs operate in a shophouse in Simpang Tiga, Kuching with its main Taraju Mr. Mustapa bin Mohamed as the first principal. Its development followed the construction of a permanent campus PKs with a land area of 112 acres pants. Located about 23 kilometers from Kuching city center and its position at the foot of the volcano and adjacent to the National Park Domes provide an appropriate environment conducive to learning and teaching and the development of students' personality.
