It adopts an ethical and intellectual, reflective and critical attitude to the challenges, risks and transcendence of the social problems of the country, which builds a knowledge program through research, according to the vocation on the social development of the Jesuit universities of Mexico and Latin America. It uses the principles and foundations of knowledge generation in accordance with the epistemological frameworks and domains of contemporary social scientific studies, and applies them to the conditions and determinations of concrete social and historical realities. The modality of the Doctorate in Social Sciences, Complexity and Interdisciplinarity is not schooled. One of the distinctive features of its teaching and learning model is that it is taught in a mixed way (face-to-face and virtual) and is complemented by teaching, academic and extracurricular activities.
