About the university
University of Academy of Sciences of Moldova is a state higher education institution, which operates as a legal person according to the Moldovan law. It was created by Presidential Decree no. 1093-IV on 23rd of April 2007, as a center of the national interest and harmonious development in combination of the educational activities, scientific research, innovation and culture. The scientific Cluster UnivER SCIENCE (University of Education and Research Science) is a combination of specialized structures, highly competitive, innovative research and certified training, based on the High School, University of ASM, eighteen research institutes: Botanical Garden (Institute), Institute of Chemistry, Institute of Ecology and Geography, Institute of Economics, Finances and Statistics, Institute of Energetic, Institute of Philology, Institute of Physiology and Sanocreatology, Institute of Genetics and Plant Physiology, Institute of Geology and Seismology, Institute of History, State and Law , Institute of Microbiology and Biotechnology, Institute of Mathematics and Computer, Institute of Microbiology and Biotechnology, Institute of Plant Protection and Ecological Agriculture, Institute of European Integration and Political Science, Institute of Cultural Heritage; four Technological Parks and Incubators of the Academy of Sciences in order to concentrate material and intellectual resources available for the pursuit of scientific education and teacher training.
