In September 2001, on the initiative of Moroccan university professors resident in Canada, Université Laval and the University of Quebec in Abitibi-Témiscamingue (UQAT) in collaboration with Moroccan businessmen, l 'Institut Polytechnique Privé de Casablanca started its teaching activities by offering 4 programs of genius: electrical engineering, computer engineering, mechanical engineering and electromechanical engineering. These programs, developed entirely by Laval University, are among the 10 largest Canadian universities and would enable Moroccan and African students to acquire internationally-recognized skills in Moroccan soil highly sought after by African industry. The objective was and still is to offer the first three years of the program in Casablanca and the possibility of completing the last 2 years of the engineering curriculum either in Canada or in Morocco. In 2011, the Government of the Kingdom of Morocco recognized this excellence by granting accreditation to all branches of the Polytechnic Institute. Today, with the same motivation, from the very beginning, to make a difference in the economic development of Morocco thanks to a better-equipped workforce, this school, in addition to enabling more than 250 young people to succeed in their studies. Engineer or management in Canada, it offers accredited courses by the Kingdom of Morocco that allow access to diplomas that can be accepted in equivalence with national diplomas. The respect gained from the large Moroccan and foreign companies, makes its commitment to North-South technology transfer always so intense. The judicious choice of its partners and its many investments in advanced technology will ensure the added value for which it is recognized and to ensure a leading role in Morocco and Africa in the various projects of higher education. Today, the Institut Polytechnique Privé in Casablanca is proud of its educational and technological success, but above all the influence of its young polytechnicians in the real world!
