About the university
Norway's NHH, also known as Norway's Business School of Economics, is Norway's oldest scientific university in economics. The school was founded in 1936 after a decision of 1917, and opened by King Haakon VII, September 7, 1936. It was located in Bergen, partly due to the city's long traditions, but also a wish to spread the various educational institutions around the country. NHH has an international profile and collaborates with more than 130 universities and colleges in more than 30 countries. 40 percent of NHH students take at least one semester exchange abroad. Collaborative institutions include the London School of Economics, Cornell University, Duke University, University of California, Berkeley and HEC Paris.
