Characteristics of the programme: the curriculum of Classical Philology includes courses on ancient Greek and Latin, ancient literature and culture including the reception and continuation of antiquity in Modern Latin, Byzantine and later literature periods until modern times. The classes in degree programme subjects (Greek and Latin), enriched with a range of additional subjects (ancient history, ancient culture history, introduction to mythology and rhetoric, contemporary reception of ancient culture) allow students to know all the aspects of the Greco-Roman world. The graduates of the 1st cycle (Bachelor's) studies will have the opportunity to continue their studies on the 2nd cycle (Master's) studies. Career prospects: translation of antique texts into Polish, work in libraries, archives, publishing houses, cultural and educational institutions related to the heritage of Mediterranean civilisation, in the tourism industry and other international institutions promoting Mediterranean civilisation. Other, additional information important for the candidate: The candidates are not required to know Latin nor Greek.
