The degree programme is addressed to candidates with broad interests in the field of creating and processing music and sound. The studies prepare specialists in composition and arrangement, methods of digital sound recording, digital processing, surround sound, voice recording and processing, MIDI equipment and software, as well as audio post production in virtual reality, e.g. in games and educational programmes. The offer of this degree programme contains the possibility of choosing an individual education path – one of them concerns sound creation for computer games, and the other one concerns composition of music for audio-visual arts. Indispensable additions to the degree programme are theoretical courses, which allow passing reliable knowledge from the fields of history and theory of music, classical music, harmony, aesthetics, rules of the functioning of the market of the music industry understood in a general sense, as well as relationships between music and other media, and modules broadening the general knowledge of humanities and social sciences, as well as foreign languages. Career prospects: Graduates from the degree programme Music in Multimedia are prepared for independent artistic activity in the fields of composition and arrangement, using digital methods of sound recording, digital processing, surround sound, voice recording and processing, MIDI equipment and software, as well as audio post production in virtual reality, e.g. in games and educational programmes. The studies also prepare graduates for work as authors of music illustrations (authors of the music layer) for audio-visual productions, especially audio-visual projects on the internet and television, as well as short film forms.
