Characteristics of the programme: This degree programme is addressed to people who link their future with working in press agencies or broadly-understood sector of media services (editing, online portals, advertising agencies, publishing houses etc.), and to those who are thinking about literary career. The basis of the curriculum is formed by theoretical subjects that provide basic knowledge in the scope of history of literature and poetry, linguistics, latest culture as well as theory of media and practical subjects realised in the course of numerous workshops conducted both by scientists and artists. Thanks to them, the students gain the skills of creating useful texts, journalistic and artistic texts, whilst gaining knowledge concerning modern media, book market, literary life, functioning of various publishing objects and specificity of journalism in the age of the Internet. The curriculum covers issues related to the diverse forms and genres of statements, copyrights, rhetoric and techniques of persuasion. Professional prospects (graduate profile): employee of press agencies; employee of the Internet portals; employee of publishing houses; employee of the media service sector; press spokesman; novelist; author of stage texts.
