About the university
The university was established on the basis of the Higher Education Act of 12 September 1990. Initially, it obtained a permit to pursue higher studies in Management and Marketing (since May 29, 2003, also a master's degree). Another decision of July 23, 2001, was approved for the launch of engineering studies in the fields of Transport and Informatics. Then the Minister of National Education and Sport decided by decision of September 27, 2002 to issue a license for vocational education in the field of Pedagogy, on 4 December 2002 in the field of Economics, and on October 1, 2004 in the field of Sociology. On October 8, 2004, an engineering degree was enrolled in the field of Architecture and Urban Planning. The most recent stage of the university's development is a 5-year master's degree in law, professional philology studies and a second degree in pedagogy. WSM plans to launch further courses, specializations and types of studies: national security, nursing, medical rescue and western distance studies, distance learning and eLearning, which complement the current modes of study: stationary and extramural.
