About the university
The State Higher Vocational School in Skierniewice was established on 1 October 2005 by a decree of the Council of Ministers of 27 September 2005 (Journal of Laws 190 item 1605). The Rector of the University was appointed on October 17, 2005. The first recruitment of students in the academic year 2005/2006 was conducted by the Faculty of Economics and Sociology from 17 to 30 October 2005 and ended with the admission of 211 students for both majors. In the meantime, the University used the premises of the Center for Continuing Education in Skierniewice at Al. Independence 4. There was also headquarters there. The process of recruiting candidates for the academic year 2006/2007 and 2007/2008 was conducted on four subjects: Economics, Sociology, Polish Philology and Horticulture. By the end of September 2008, the University changed its head office. Most of the didactic classes took place in the main building located in Skierniewice at ul. Batorego 64C. Few classes were conducted at the CKU facility at Al. Niepodległości 4, and specialized laboratory classes in the SGGW building at ul. Sobieskiego 10.
