About the university
It was established on 08/27/82, with the objectives of creating higher education, university and polytechnic establishments, and the promotion of scientific research and its university extension. Originally located at Rua São Roque da Lameira, 439, in Porto, in 1995 it moved to Gandra - Paredes, where it currently operates. He started an activity with a teaching establishment, the Higher Institute of Dental Sciences - Porto, and taught only one course, the degree in Dentistry. Gradually the range of course offerings was expanded, which in 1993 led to the change of name to Instituto Superior de Ciências da Saúde - Norte.
